Current Velo-CT Protocols

Anchor 1

EFFECTIVE MARCH 01, 2022

At Velo-CT, Health and Safety is our number one priority.  As State restrictions change and CDC and USASwimming guidelines are updated, we will adjust our protocols to the extent possible while continuing to maintain a safe and healthy environment for Staff, Swimmers, Members and Clients of all ages.

Mask Policy:

Effective March 1st, masks will not be required at Velo-CT, regardless of vaccination status.

Travel & Gatherings:

We ask our Staff, Swimmers, Members, and Clients, regardless of vaccination status, to self-monitor their health following any travel or gatherings.  Please be considerate of the health and safety of those around you.  If you are feeling ill, have been in contact with someone who is ill, or you have a fever, please let us know in advance of your Reservation, Lesson, or Practice so that we can work with you to make arrangements to either cancel or re-schedule.

Reservation System:

We continue to use our reservation system.  Individuals must have a reservation (or scheduled class) to enter.  No walk-ins.

Lap Lanes:

Lane capacity: 4-swimmers per lane.

Reservations are lane specific.

Lanes continue to be for lap swimming only.  Open Swim remains suspended.

Fitness Stations:

Capacity: 1-individual per Fitness Station.

Reservations are station specific.

Locker Rooms:

Showering is permitted.

Towel service remains suspended.

(Women’s Adult Only locker remains closed until further notice.)

Swim Lessons - Private & Group -  REC Team:

  • Entry is restricted to the Swimmer and ONE (1) parent/guardian.  The parent/guardian will be able to check-in the Swimmer and accompany the swimmer to the Pool Deck.  Once Swimmers have entered the water, no parent/guardian will be permitted to remain on the Pool Deck.  At the conclusion of practice, Swimmers will be escorted by a staff member to the Post-Swim Pick-Up Area at the front of the building.

  • Capacity is determined by the number of swimmers we can safely accommodate by level, and continues to follow CDC, State, and USASwimming guidelines and recommendations.

Please see Swim Programs pages for additional information.
