REC Team

The Velo-CT REC Swim Program is led by Coach Tony.

Coach Tony also works with our ZEUS Swim Team (Velo-CT’s competitive team) as a USA Swimmer certified Swim Coach.  He trains and certifies lifeguards as an American Red Cross certified Lifeguard Instructor.  He also works individually with Swimmers of all ages and abilities to gain confidence in the water and to develop and improve technique.

Coach Tony has been with us at Velo-CT for a number of years.  We believe that your Swimmers will not only advance within our REC Swim Program under the guidance of Coach Tony, but your Swimmers will also have FUN!

The REC Swim Program is the ideal program for Swimmers who are able to swim and would like to continue to develop, and to swim either recreationally or competitively.

Many of our REC Swimmers advance to join the ZEUS Swim Team.

Entry is restricted to the Swimmer and ONE (1) parent/guardian.
The parent/guardian will be able to check-in the Swimmer and accompany the swimmer to the Pool Deck.
Once Swimmers have entered the water, no parent/guardian will be permitted to remain on the Pool Deck.

Effective March 01, masks are not required regardless of vaccination status.

Please take a moment to review current Velo-CT protocols.

We continue to offer "short programs."  If there is not a program that fits your current schedule, please check back.   We do update and add to the current programs regularly.

Capacity is determined by the number of swimmers we can safely accommodate by level, and will continue to follow CDC, State, and USASwimming guidelines and recommendations.

Some parents may be uncomfortable with the current Velo-CT restrictions.  We understand and respect your decision should you choose to wait to return.  Please check back as we continue to add Programming and remain compliant with the most up to date CDC, State, local, and USASwimming guidelines and recommendations to create and maintain a safe and healthy environment.
